Assistant Bar Manager- £45,000 gross per year

We are now looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Bar Manager to join our London team and help lead one of the most exciting bar programmes in the city.

The Role

As Assistant Bar Manager, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the day-to-day running of the bar, inspiring your team, and delivering an exceptional guest experience that reflects the LPM standard. You’ll combine operational expertise with creativity and strong people management to ensure seamless service and an engaging, memorable atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Bar Manager in overseeing all daily bar operations

  • Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding service

  • Maintain consistently high standards of quality, presentation, and cleanliness

  • Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory processes

  • Assist in developing seasonal cocktails and innovative beverage menus

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations

  • Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues confidently

  • Monitor financial performance and support budgeting and cost control

  • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture focused on development and excellence

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Supervisory or Assistant Bar Manager role within a premium restaurant or bar

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team

  • Solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and current beverage trends

  • Excellent organisational and operational skills

  • Confident communicator with a guest-first mindset

  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
